And PCL can help to secure the clearances for arranging importation from selected suppliers, after due consultation with product experts and manufacturing facilities of suppliers worldwide. Our specialised expertise in the procedural aspects of international financing and credits helps both the customer and overseas supplier to minimize delays and defaults, while maximising the benefit of the credit available.
The job is not over by any means with the selection of the product. We assist customers in completing ordering formalities with their banks and principals and follows up on shipments with principals and provide feed back to the users. The order processing activity is an expensive and highly skilled process as technical engineering information and appropriate documentation have to be co-ordinated between operating offices, the Head Office and Principals as well as the ultimate customer in the field and the Customers Ordering Authority. For this purpose, the Company has a state-of-the-art communication network to handle frequent references on technical matters with the manufacturing division supplying the product. Other tasks have to be taken up thereafter, such as inspection, delivery at site on schedule, partial supplies, warranty claims and compliance with contractual term of payment.
The PCL team are frequently at customer's site for in-field inspection as well as installation and commissioning of equipment. The installation staff are trained at manufacturer's factories and have the necessary tools to maintain equipments. In the same spirit of perfect service our engineers are frequently sent abroad for technology updates.
